She must learn again to speak
starting with I
starting with We
starting as the infant does
with her own true hunger
and pleasure
and rage.

On a Tuesday

On a Tuesday

On a Tuesday,
we went for a walk
in the most beautiful park
I know.

The trees were full,
the sound of water in the canals,
the baby ducks were swimming,
the clouds were parting,

The throngs looked down at...
Pokemon Go

really?

At first a little judgmental was I,
(or a lot)
(what does a little judgment
look like anyway?)

But then fascination and
curiosity took over
at it does when I tend to get
overwhelmed with judgment.
(thank you very much, God.)

All different ages,
They were having a blissful
time in the park,
laughing with friends,
making some new friends,
or alone staring at their phone.

Just at the guys throwing
a frisbee around,
or the ones napping
on the grass.

This is peace.
This is joy.
This is just what the
world needs
now.
