She must learn again to speak
starting with I
starting with We
starting as the infant does
with her own true hunger
and pleasure
and rage.

Shall We Dance?

Shall We Dance?

Why don’t we abolish
the word “plateau” when it comes
to healing or recovery or the like?

To me, Plateau means
Stagnation and scary and…DOOMED.

The very word Plateauuuuuuuuuu,
like an echo of what once was,
like an echo that will be never reached.

Why don’t we call it like it is?
In fact, it’s just a point in time that is still.

Still Point

Where everything is possible
And there’s no rush,
There’s no keeping track.

And you are grateful for all the healing,
That’s already happened.

A place of rest
Until you’re ready,
for the next breakthrough,

where no small thing
goes unnoticed.

Whether you are aware of it
We are all healing,
Whether body or mind or spirit
and it is endless...

still point to still point to still point

At the still point, there the dance is…
Where past and future are gathered. Neither movement from nor towards,
Neither ascent nor decline. Except for the point, the still point,
There would be no dance, and there is only the dance.
— T.S. Eliot
